Characteristics

A small epiphytic herb to 8 cm. high.. Pseudobulbs contiguous, narrow at the base, ovoid or ellipsoid above, 1–2 cm. long, 0.5–1 cm. wide, covered with membranous sheaths, 2–3-leaved at the apex.. Leaves narrowly oblong or oblong-elliptic, 1.5–5 cm. long, 5–10 mm. wide above the articulation, apex shortly bilobulate.. Inflorescence erect, racemose, to 7 cm. high; peduncle to 4.5 cm. long; raceme 1–3 cm. long, laxly 3–5-flowered; bracts ovate, acuminate, subscarious, to 4 mm. long, much shorter than the flowers.. Flowers cream, deflexed, pubescent on the outside; pedicel very short; ovary 2–4 mm. long, densely covered with white hairs.. Dorsal sepal elliptic-lanceolate, shortly acuminate, 7 mm. long, 3 mm. wide; lateral sepals obliquely oblong-lanceolate, subacute, 8.5–11 mm. long, 3 mm. wide.. Petals slightly curved, oblong-lanceolate, acute, 6 mm. long, 1.5 mm. wide, glabrous.. Lip with a long ligulate claw, subhastate, 3-lobed, 11 mm. long, 4 mm. wide; side lobes short, obtuse; mid-lobe acute, 4 mm. long, 3 mm. wide, with the pulvinus almost covered with articulated yellow hairs; claw and disc sparsely covered with hairs..
