Plants epiphytic or epilithic, 100-200 mm tall; pseudobulbs ovoid, closely aggregated, often forming long chains, 20-35 x 5-15 mm; leaves 1-3, erect to falcate, veins prominent below, lorate-elliptic, obtuse to rounded, 25-120 x 9-20 mm. Inflorescences as tall as or taller than leaves, simple, with 8-20 (-50) flowers; peduncle pubescent, dull; bracts narrowly lanceolate to ovate, acuminate, 3-6 mm long. Flowers opening widely, deep yellow, lip and lateral sepals often with reddish markings. Sepals subequal, apiculate, shallowly concave; median narrowly oblong, 8-10 x 3-5 mm; laterals oblong, 8-11 x 3-6 mm. Petals obovate, round to obtuse, flat, 6-9 x 2.5-6 mm. Lip 3-lobed, flat, ecallose, 7 x 5-6 mm, disc concave; midlobe straight, triangular, acute, 3-4 x 2-3.5 mm; side lobes subacute, porrect, 1-2 mm tall; mentum obscure, to 1.5 mm long. Gynostemium broad and short.
