Characteristics

Plants 300–650 mm tall. Free part of leaf to 200 × 4–8 mm. Spike 50–120 mm long, 8–35-flowered. Ovary sessile, green. Flowers crowded, lightly scented, 18–24 × 11–14 mm, dark greenish brown to purplish brown; petals white with green or reddish band; labellum crystalline white; callus yellowish green. Dorsal sepal 10–12 × 4–4.5 mm, decurved, with 3 to 5 dark veins. Lateral sepals free, 10–12 × 2–2.2 mm, erect, widely divergent, pointed. Petals 10.5–14 × 1.6–2 mm, divergent, white towards apex, margins irregular. Labellum sessile, broadly ovate-lanceolate, sharply recurved back on itself from near middle, 12–15 × 5.7 mm, distal margins strongly folded and wavy/crinkled, papillate. Callus narrow, grooved, ending just past labellum bend, not notched.
