Characteristics

Plants 100–500 mm tall. Free part of leaf to 100 × 6–7 mm. Spike 80–120 mm long, 10–20-flowered. Ovary sessile or shortly stalked, green to brown. Flowers moderately spaced, lightly scented, 14–17 × 7–8 mm, dark brown, labellum brown, callus dark brownish green. Dorsal sepal 8–9 × 4 mm, incurved to decurved. Lateral sepals free, 8–9 × 3 mm, erect or recurved. Petals 7–8 × 1.4 mm, porrect, with dark median line. Labellum shortly stalked, broadly elliptic at base, 6.5–7.5 × 4.5–5 mm, sharply recurved near middle where contracted and tapered to apex, distal margins crinkled. Callus shiny, thick, fleshy, extending nearly to labellum apex.
