Characteristics

Leaf 50–200 × 3–7 mm; free part erect, often longer than base. Spike 20–40 mm long, 10–50-flowered. Flowers crowded, 6–8 × 5–6 mm, brownish purple and white, faintly scented. Dorsal sepal ovate-lanceolate, 7.5–8.5 × 2.5–3 mm, apex bluntly mucronate. Synsepalum obovate, concave, 7.5–8.5 × 5–5.5 mm, each sepal 7.5–8.5 × 2.5 mm. Petals hatchet-shaped, 7.5–8 × 2.5–3 mm, incurved to widely spreading, with purplish basal area. Labellum spoon-shaped, recurved gently near middle, 6.5–7.5 × 3–3.5 mm; distal margins crinkled and irregularly toothed. Callus thin, dark, ending just beyond labellum bend, apex notched.
