Characteristics

Plants 200–500 mm tall. Free part of leaf to 200 × 5–8 mm. Spike 50–100 mm long, 5–30-flowered. Ovary sessile, green, shiny. Flowers crowded, scented, 14–18 × 12–14 mm, greenish brown, labellum white or pale pink, callus green. Dorsal sepal 7–11 × 4–5 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals fused throughout initially, becoming free, tips sometimes fused, 7–11 × 2.5 mm, base strongly humped. Petals 8–10 × 3 mm, widely divergent, with a dark central stripe. Labellum sessile, ovate-oblong, 8–12 × 5–6 mm, sharply folded back on itself, upper part touching base, base humped, distal margins strongly wavy/crinkled. Callus fleshy, channelled, margins white, ending just beyond labellum bend, apex notched.
