Characteristics

Plants 200–300 mm tall. Free part of leaf to 300 × 2–4 mm. Spike 40–80 mm long, 5–12-flowered. Ovary shortly staked, green, turgid. Flowers not crowded, strongly scented, usually remaining closed, occasionally partly expanding, 5–7 mm long, segments papery or parchment-like, dark brown to dark purple, labellum green and pink, callus green. Dorsal sepal ovate, 4–5 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals fused or partly free, incurved, 4–5 × 1.5 mm. Petals triangular, 3–3.5 × 1.5 mm. Labellum sessile, triangular, 4–4.5 × 1.5–2 mm, gently recurved near middle, margins folded inwards. Callus extending just past labellum bend, ending in 2 ridges.
