Characteristics

Plants slender, 150–300 mm tall. Free part of leaf lax or drooping, to 130 × 3–4 mm. Spike often lax or drooping, 30–70 mm long, 5–20-flowered. Ovary shortly stalked, green, turgid. Flowers not crowded, strongly scented, 4–6 × 4–6 mm, pale green, tan and lilac, petals pale green with white margins and darker external band, labellum pale pink, callus green. Dorsal sepal 6–7 × 2–2.5 mm, decurved. Lateral sepals free, 6–7 × 1–1.5 mm, erect, slightly divergent. Petals 3.5–4 × 1 mm, widely spreading. Labellum shortly stalked, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, 4.5–5 × 2.5 mm, obliquely erect and flexed in sigmoid curve, surface papillate, distal margins incurved, irregularly wavy and papillate. Callus smooth, raised, grooved, extending about halfway to labellum apex, margins and apex papillate.

Environment

Known only from a single population growing on a hill under weeping sheoaks with associated scattered Sugar Gums and outcrops of sandstone in freely draining red-brown loam. It survives on this isolated hill surrounded by grazed paddocks.
