Characteristics

Plants 200–35  tall. Free part of leaf to 150 x 5–6mm, bright green. Spike 100–18  long, 12–50-flowered. Ovary shortly stalked. Flowers not crowded, scented, 9–11 x 6–7mm, bright green, labellum white, rarely pink, callus green. Dorsal sepal 6–7 x 2mm. Lateral sepals free, 6–7 x 1.5mm, divergent. Petals 4–5 x 1.5mm, porrect, white or pinkish. Labellum sessile, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, 5–6 x 3mm, porrect and flexed in sigmoid curve, papillate, margins incurved, crinkled. Callus narrow, papillate, extending beyond labellum flexure.

Relatively widespread but disjunct and uncommon, mainly growing in coastal and near-coastal open forest, scrub, shrubby forest, sedgeland and heath in freely draining sands, gravels and clay loam; also in open forest and occasional in moister montane and subalpine forests in well-structured loams.
