Characteristics

Plants 300–50  tall. Free part of leaf to 200 x 5–9mm. Spike 80–12  long, 10–40-flowered. Ovary shortly stalked. Flowers crowded, opening widely, scented, 8–12 x 7–10mm, greenish or light brown with red, pink or mauve tones, labellum white or pink, callus green to brown. Dorsal sepal 6–8 x 3.5–4.5mm, incurved. Lateral sepals free, 7–9 x 2.5–3mm, erect and incurved, divergent. Petals 6–7 x 2–2.4mm, porrect to incurved, often with crinkled margins. Labellum shortly stalked, broadly ovate with short tail-like apex, 6–7 x 5–6.5mm, sharply recurved above middle, margins strongly wavy/crinkled. Callus broad, raised, fleshy, shiny, often warty, extending just beyond labellum bend.
