Characteristics

Plants 300–50  tall. Free part of leaf to 150 x 3–4mm. Spike 60–10  long, 15–30-flowered. Ovary shortly stalked, bright green, shiny. Flowers crowded, with a strong musty scent, 18–21 x 8–11mm, pale tawny-green to greenish-white (rarely dark brownish-purple), labellum whitish, callus green. Dorsal sepal 9.5–11 x 2.5–3mm, decurved or recurved. Lateral sepals free, 9.5–11 x 2.5mm, nearly straight, parallel with divergent tips. Petals 8.5–9 x 1.3–1.5mm, porrect, pointed. Labellum very shortly stalked, ovate-lanceolate, 10–12 x 5.5–6mm, sharply recurved and constricted above middle, apex tapered to long point. Callus fleshy, broadly channelled, extending nearly to labellum apex, wrinkled towards tip.
