Characteristics

Plants 300–45  tall. Free part of leaf to 120 x 4–6mm. Spike 70–13  long, 12–30-flowered. Ovary shortly stalked, green to purplish. Flowers well-spaced, scented, 15–17 x 8–12mm, brownish or maroon, labellum whitish or pinkish, callus green. Dorsal sepal 7–9 x 3–4mm, decurved. Lateral sepals free, 7–9 x 1.2–1.7mm, widely divergent, bidentate. Petals 6.5–8.5 x 0.8–1.1mm, spreading or incurved. Labellum shortly stalked, ovate-lanceolate, 6–8 x 4–5mm, sharply recurved and constricted near middle, base broadest, margins entire, apex narrow and tapered. Callus raised, channelled, constricted above middle, extending two-thirds of way to labellum apex.
