Characteristics

Leaves (5)9–12 × (1.6)2–5 cm, 3–4 times as long as broad, narrowly elliptic, subcuneate to rounded at the base, rounded or slightly emarginate at the apex, with sparse long appressed hairs, coriaceous with prominent veins.

Middle bracts c. 2 × 1.3 cm, rounded, appressed-tomentose or glabrescent in their distal parts; inner bracts 3–3.5 × 0.5–1 cm, linear-oblong, resembling the middle bracts in indumentum.
Perianth base glabrous except in the upper part; claw villous outside and inside; limb villous throughout or the fourth segment subglabrescent except at the apex.
Suffrutex with erect simple stems up to 30 cm high.
Flowers 2.8–3.3 cm, white or pink tinged.
Stems appressed pubescent.
Heads c. 7 cm diameter.
