Characteristics

Suffrutex with stems to 35 cm. long, decumbent to ascending with leaves and flower-heads mostly projecting upwards.. Leaves elliptic to linear-oblanceolate, (4-)5-10(-11) × 1.6-3 cm., 2.5-5 times as long as broad, cuneate at base, obtuse to rounded at the apex, glabrous to sparsely irregularly hairy.. Heads 4-5 cm. in diameter, borne ± at right-angles to the stem.. Middle bracts ± 2.7 × 1.3 cm., rounded, glabrous except for ciliate margin; inner bracts 4 × 0.7 cm., linear-oblong.. Flowers ± 2.5 cm. long, ?(see original description) white.. Perianth-claw ± 1 cm., glabrous; limb 7-9 mm., glabrescent except for tuft of hairs at the apex.. Style glabrous.
