Self-incompatible, kernel-to-shell ratio 60%. Origin: parentage unknown, seedling found in a Nonpareil and Ne Plus Ultra orchard in Orland, CA, by R.D. Booth and F.R. Booth. Tree: growth habit upright to spreading; productive, crops heavily on spurs; blooms with Nonpareil; chill requirement 450 h. Fruit: : ovate; paper shell; kernel midsize, 1.3 g, slightly wider and darker than Sonora and easily blanched; possible high doubles early in orchard production; shell exhibits slight to prominently cuspidate apex; harvest ~12 d after Nonpareil.
