Origin: in Fresno, Calif., by J.H. Weinberger, Agr. Res. Serv., U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Fresno. Introd. in 1971. Openpollinated seedling of B60-12 (Perfection × Castleton); tested as K111-6. Tree: vigorous; productive under San Joaquin Valley conditions. Flower: large, white, self-fertile. Recommended as early shipping variety. Fruit: medium, 1 3/4 inch in diam.and length, uniform; orange color with slight red blush; acid until fully mature; freestone; ripens end of May, with exceptional color and firmness.
