Cultivation

Origin: in Morden, Manitoba, Canada, by the Canada Dept. of Agriculture, Res. Sta. Introd. in 1937. Seed of Prunus armeniaca sent by the Expt. Sta. of the Eastern Siberian Railway, Echo, Manchuria; P.I. 132840; planted in 1930. Tree: tall, upright, rounded; vigorous; hardy; productive. Fruit: medium to large; flat, oblong-cordate, pointed; skin bronzy golden; flesh deep yellow, fine, tender; freestone; quality fair to good as dessert, good canned, good as jam; season late July and early August.
