Cultivation

Origin: in Gilroy, Santa Clara Valley, Calif., by Herbert W. Steindorf. Introd. in 1967. Plant patent 2742; 16 May 1967. Bud mutation of Blenheim. Discovered in 1948; tested as apricot No. 5. Tree: same as Blenheim but more vigorous; blooms 30 days later than Blenheim. Fruit: same as Blenheim but ripening 30 days later.
