Origin: in Modesto, Calif., by Chris, Gary, and Grant Zaiger and Leith Gardner. {[Friar × (Mariposa × Ebony)] × Autumn Giant}. Plant patent 8471; 23 Nov. 1993. Tree: vigorous; upright; productive. Fruit: nearly globose, slightly flattened at base and on suture side; large, 58 to 64 mm; skin red with yellow ground color; flesh yellow-white, firm with mild flavor; clingstone. In central California, ripens the last of August. Blossom: medium, white.
