Ramming. Friar × Queen Rosa. Cross made in 1970; selected in 1973; tested as K68-43. Tree: normal vigor, upright growth habit; flowers self-infertile, pollinizer required, blooms with and is intercompatible with Friar; recommended only for Japanese plum areas. Fruit: oblate, averages 6.2 cm in diam.; skin black at full maturity; flesh light yellow with some diffusion of red from skin when overripe, quality good, firm; pit small; ripens end of June at Fresno, 1 week before Eldorado and 3 weeks before Friar.
