Origin: in Fresno, Calif., by John M. Garabedian. Introd. in 1965. Plant patent 2575; 16 Nov. L965; assigned to Peach & Willow Farms, Fresno, Calif. Open-pollinated seedling of Santa Rosa. Tree: spreading habit; vigor medium; very productive. Fruit: large, 2 1/8 to 2 5/8 inches in diam.; globose to round; suture inconspicuous; skin greenish-yellow with bright red blush over most of surface; flesh light yellow, mottled red, juicy, firm, slightly acid, good sugar balance; eating quality good clingstone; hangs well on tree; superior shipping quality; matures in early July.
