Cultivation

Origin: at High Plains Grasslands, Res. Sta., Cheyenne, Wyo., by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Introd. in 1982. Open-pollinated seedling of Clyman. Selected in 1958: tested as 68-11. Tree: upright; vigor moderate; productive, thinning recommended; flowers self-fertile. Fruit: round-oblong; 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches in diam.; flesh yellow, meaty, tender; skin thin, tender, greenish-yellow with rose or reddish blush; seeds small, freestone; ripens 90 days after full bloom; first week of September at Cheyenne.
