Origin: in Geneva, N.Y., by Robert C. Lamb, Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1972. Sunhigh × Redhaven; cross made in 1949, selected in 1953, tested as NY 2622. Tree: size medium; round, spreading; vigorous; moderately hardy, about the same as Sunhaven; productive; tolerant to perennial canker; flower nonshowy; leaf glands reniform. Fruit: size medium; roundish; skin 90% bright red over yellow ground color, attractive; flesh yellow, medium firm, juicy, sweet, smooth, high quality; ripens uniformly, 8 Aug. at Geneva.
