Cultivation

Origin: in New Brunswick, N.J., by M.A. Blake, New Jersey Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1925. Lola × Arp; cross made in 1916. Tree: vigor medium, sets very heavily; flower large, showy, light pink; leaf with reniform glands. Fruit: medium to small, round, slight suture; skin mottled red over half of surface, pubescence medium; flesh yellow, soft-melting, semi-clingstone, some red at pit; ripens 1 month before Elberta; quality fair, too soft for processing.
