Introduced in 1997 as USPP 9842. Tree: upright, vigorous, large, productive. Flowers large, showy, pink, self-fertile. Leaf glands reniform. Chilling requirement of ≈300 h. Fruit: globose, medium, Light yellow to yellow ground color with red blush to lake red. Flesh firm, yellow to butter yellow, clingstone. Flavor good, mild, Ripens in early May in Modesto, Calif., 14 days before May Crest.
