Origin: unknown. Introd. in 1952 by Peach Ridge Farms & Nursery, Clemson, S.C. Parentage unknown; discovered about 1948. Tree: vigor medium, low productivity in some areas; flower medium, nonshowy; leaf glands globose; chilling requirement 850 h. Fruit: large; round, apex tipped; skin blushed and red striped over most of surface, ground color greenish-yellow, appearance fair; flesh yellow, red at pit, freestone, firm, melting, very good quality; ripens 2 weeks before Elberta, with Sunhigh.
