Cultivation

Origin: at Agr. Expt. Sta., Univ. of Florida, Monticello, by W.B. Sherman and R.H. Sharpe. Redglobe × EarliGrande. Selected in 1983; tested as Fla. M3-4; named in Mexico in 1987. Tree: Fruit: medium; nearly round; skin 70% red blush with dark-red stripes; flesh yellow, firm, melting, serniclingstone. Ripens about 75 days after bloom, 5 days after Flordaking. Flowers nonshowy; leaf glands globose. Moderately resistant to bacterial leaf spot and powdery mildew. Chilling requirement 450 chill units.
