Origin: in Roodeplaat, Republic of South Africa, by Edward P. Evans, Hort. Res. Inst., Pretoria. Introd. in 1975. F2 seedling of Jubilee × Keimoes, cross made in 1962, selected in 1969, tested as 8/51. Tree: medium large, 34 m; vaseshaped; very productive; flower showy, blooms about 20 Aug.; leaf glands reniform. Fruit: medium to large; round; skin yellow with attractive red blush; flesh yellow, slight red at pit, firm, clingstone; ripens 1 Jan.; for dessert.
