Origin: in Roodeplaat, Pretoria, South Africa, by Edward P. Evans, Hort. Res. Inst. Introd. in 1972. Oom Sarel × Moreira Jubilee; cross made in 1964, selected in 1967, tested as 16/15. Tree: large; open vase-shaped; vigorous; moderately productive; slight thinning required; flower nonshowy, light rose; leaf glands reniform; chilling requirement 300 to 500 h. Fruit: large; round-oval; skin yellow ground color, with attractive red blush over 40% to 60%; flesh yellow, firm, melting, freestone, flavor excellent; ripens mid-November.
