[(Candoka × NJ 25032 selected nectarine) × (Garden State × NJ 25032) o.p.]; cross made in 1951; selected in 1954; tested as N.J. 216. Tree: productive; flower showy; leaf glands reniform. Suggested planting regions: where an Elberta substitute is wanted. Fruit: large; oval; skin brighter red than Elberta, attractive; flesh yellow, firmer and of better quality than Elberta; freestone; ripens about with Elberta; excellent dessert quality.
