White, low-acid peach. Origin: in Modesto, Calif., by C. Floyd, Gary N. and Grant G. Zaiger, and Leith M. Gardner. Introduced in 1997. Zaiger seedling 37G890 × May Crest (USPP 3101). USPP 10872 issued on 27 Apr. 1999. Tree: large; vigorous; upright; productive. Leaf glands globose. Flowers large; showy; pink; self-fertile. Chilling requirement 850 h. Fruit: large to very large; skin crayfish red to garnet red spread over yellowish white ground color; moderate and short pubescence; flesh firm, white to yellowish white, flavor; mild and sub-acid; freestone. Ripens 25 June to 2 July in Modesto Calif., 2 weeks before Giant Babcock or 1-7 Aug. in New Jersey just after Redhaven.
