Parentage going back through series of crosses to peach varieties Babcock, July Elberta, Swatow, and nectarine varieties Boston and Gold Mine. Pollen parent derived from Panamint × Springtime. Tree: vigorous; chilling requirement equal to Springtime peach; very productive; leaf glands mixed, weakly reniform, with a few globose; flowers 1 1/2 inches in diam., pink, showy. Fruit: size small to medium; globose to broadly ovoid, no beak; skin ground color yellow covered with heavy, bright red blush, smooth, lack of pubescence, attractive; flesh yellow, no red at pit, flavor sweet; freestone when fully ripe; ripens a few days before Robin, 1 week before Armred, 1 week after Springtime peach; resembles Armred.
