Origin: at the Hort. Farm, Olney, Ill., by M.J. Dorsey, Illinois Agr. Expt. Sta., Urbana, Introd. in 1946. Halehaven × Sun Glo; cross made in 1937; tested as Ill. K69. Tree: vigor medium, high productivity; flower small, nonshowy; leaf glands reniform; chilling requirement 750 h. Fruit: large; tipped, oval; skin medium yellow, dark blush, dull to attractive appearance; flesh light yellow, tender, firm, moderately juicy, quality poor; seed sometimes splits, freestone; ripens 37 days before Elberta.
