Origin: in Parlier, Calif., by Frank R. Coddington. Introd. in 1956 by Parlier Nursery. Plant patent 1406; 19 July 1955. July Elberta mutation; discovered in 1949. Tree: medium large; vigorous, stout branching with well-knit forks of divergent habit; productive; leaf glands small, varying from globose to reniform; flower similar to July Elberta but with more pink and blossoming a few days later. Fruit: flesh yellow, freestone; matures about 1 week earlier than parent or about 20 June at place of origin; flavor similar to July Elberta, but flesh is firmer.
