Origin: in Exeter, Calif., by Grant MerrIll. Plant patent pending. lntrod. in 1969. Merrill Queen o.p.; discovered in 1966; tested as C13-6S. Tree: large, vase-shaped; vigorous; productivity good for the season; flowers large, showy; leaf glands reniform. Fruit: large for season; oval; skin highly colored, 50% covered with red or scarlet blush; flesh yellow, firm; clingstone, but semi-cling if tree-ripened; good shipping qualities; ripens first week in June in San Joaquin Valley.
