Origin: in Fort Valley, Ga., by U.S. Hort. Lab. Introd. in 1966. FV 5-56 (Halehaven selfed) × Dixigem; cross made in 1946; selected in 1951; first fruited in 1956; tested as FV 17347. Tree: vigorous; productive; self-fertile; good resistance to bacterial spot disease; leaf glands globose; blossoms small petaled; chilling requirement 850 h. Fruit: size medium; round; skin yellow ground color with 75% red blush, pubescence medium; flesh yellow, firm but melting; flavor good, texture good; freestone when fully matured.
