Origin: in LeGrand, Calif., by Norman Bradford. Introd. in 1984. Red Diamond o.p. Plant patent 5654; 4 Feb. 1986; assigned to Bright's Nursery, LeGrand. Fruit resembles Red Diamond. Tree: medium vigor; spreading; production medium to heavy; hardy in central California. For long-distance shipping. Fruit: medium; slightly oblong; skin red on orange-yellow ground color; finish smooth and shiny; flesh yellow, very firm; flavor good; freestone; pit cavity larger than desired. In central California, ripens with Fantasia.
