Origin: in Riverside, Calif., by J.W. Lesley, California Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1965. Parentage involved Prenda, Late Champion, Elberta, and Peento; selected in 1947; tested as U.C. 254-2. Tree: vigorous, crops regularly; flower large, showy, fertile; leaf glands globose, chilling requirement 700 h. Fruit: large; skin white, red blushed, slightly pubescent, semi-adherent, tough; flesh white, heavily colored red at pit, juicy, freestone; flavor sweet, aromatic, slightly bitter; ripens late, in mid-Sept. at place of origin.
