Leaf-blades lanceolate, 2–4 cm. long, 0.6–1.3 cm. wide, acute to acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, the margins slightly revolute, glabrous or pubescent at margins beneath; petiole up to 4 mm. long, often margined with bristly hairs; stipules with sheath ± 1 mm. long, lobe 3–5 mm. long, 2–2.5 mm. wide at base, glabrous or pubescent, the rhaphides often very obvious on the surface.. Inflorescences up to 5–6 cm. across; pedicels up to 3 mm. long, pubescent.. Calyx-tube 0.8 mm. long, ± pubescent; lobes 1.7–2.3 mm. long, 0.75–1 mm. wide, glabrous..
