Small glabrous tree up to 10 m. high; young stems dark brown, shiny, smooth.. Leaf-blades yellow-green when dry, oblong-elliptic, 15–16 cm. long, 6.5–7.2 cm. wide, subacuminate at apex, rounded and occasionally slightly cordate at base; midrib light brown and prominent beneath; lateral nerves in 6–7 main pairs; tertiary nerves very coarsely reticulate and only apparent beneath; domatia present as glabrous pits; petioles not exceeding 2 mm. long; stipules broadly triangular, 4–5 mm. long, with a short subulate apiculum.. Flowers 5-merous, borne in sessile to subsessile 30–50-flowered umbellate cymes; pedicels 4–12 mm. long, glabrous; bracteoles inconspicuous.. Calyx-tube 2 mm. long, glabrous; limb reduced to a very shortly toothed rim.. Corolla (known only from well developed buds) white; tube 2.25 mm. long, with ring of deflexed hairs just below throat inside; lobes oblong-lanceolate, 3.75 mm. long, 1.5 mm. wide.. Stigmatic knob 1.75 mm. long.. Disk glabrous.. Fruit not known.
