Characteristics

Low cushion-shaped shrub with prostrate or short erect branches to ± 0.2 m. tall, glabrous, young branches with fawnish bark.. Leaves not restricted to apices of branches; blades narrowly oblong-elliptic, 2.8–4.5 cm. long, 0.9–1.5 cm. wide, obtuse at apex, acute to obtuse at base, subcoriaceous, slightly shiny above; lateral nerves in 4 main pairs; tertiary nerves apparent beneath, rather coarsely reticulate, domatia present as small glabrous pits; petioles 3 mm. long; stipules 4 mm. long, broadly triangular at base, with a linear lobe above.. Flowers 5-merous, borne in shortly pedunculate 5–15-flowered subumbellate cymes; peduncles 2–3 mm. long; pedicels 2–3 mm. long, glabrous; bracteoles inconspicuous.. Calyx-tube 1 mm. long, glabrous; limb ± 1 mm. long, dentate, ciliate.. Corolla white; tube 3.75 mm. long, with deflexed hairs above mid-point inside; lobes oblong, 3.5 mm. long, 1.5 mm. wide, acute.. Anthers reflexed, oblong-ovate.. Style 6 mm. long; stigmatic knob 1.5 mm. long.. Disk glabrous.. Mature fruit not known.
