Dwarf shrub, up to 0.5 m tall. Leaves opposite, small, oblong or oblong-elliptic, rounded at apex, densely minutely bristly-pubescent and glandular. Flowerheads discoid, solitary at ends of short branchlets, cylindrical to bell-shaped; involucral bracts suborbicular, with sharply defined, membranous margins, broadly saccate below apex, sparingly glandular outside, otherwise glabrous; disc florets yellow. Cypselas sparingly hairy; pappus straw-coloured.
