Leaves ericoid, opposite, sessile, subconnate at base, closely set; blade linear or very narrowly ovate, apex obtuse, margins entire, glabrous, minutely puberulous when young. Heads discoid, terminal, solitary or few together, subcorymbosely arranged. Involucral bracts ± 7-seriate, imbricate, oblong-linear, obtuse, green along middle with membranous margins, glabrous. Flowers: disc florets only, yellow; Jul.-Sep. Fruit with cypsela oblong, densely long-hairy. Pappus of straw-coloured, subplumose bristles, outer more slender than inner.
