A bush about 30 cm high, with prostrate branches; branchlets setulose-pilose. Leaves opposite, free from each other at the base, lanceolate or elliptic-lanceolate, acutely mucronate, narrowed to the base, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 0.4-1 cm broad, coriaceous, 1-nerved, setose-pilose with white hairs cm the margins of both surfaces. Heads terminal, solitary, subsessile, campanulate, 2-2.5 cm long, about 1.5 cm in diameter. Involucral bracts about 5-seriate, lanceolate, acute, the outermost about 4 mm long, the innermost about 1.3 cm long, all slightly keeled, chaffy and darker-coloured in the middle with minutely ciliolate margins, otherwise glabrous. Receptacle concave, honeycombed, about 0.8 cm in diameter. Corolla yellow, subcylindric, gradually widened upwards, 1.3 cm long, finely puberulous about the middle, ribbed; lobes linear-lanceolate, acute, 2 mm long. Achenes 4-5 mm long, densely villous with whitish hairs. Pappus straw-coloured, 1 cm long.
