Leaf-lamina 5–12 × 2–6 cm., papery, narrowly to broadly elliptic or rhombic, ± bluntly acuminate, margin subentire, subundulate or irregularly sublobulate towards the apex, ± narrowly rounded at the base, upper surface glabrous and glossy, lower surface sparsely appressed-hispid; venation penninerved, midrib prominent on both surfaces; petiole 0·5–1 cm. long, ± flexuous, hispid.
