Heads in spiciform or racemiform arrays (internodes long). Involucres campanulate to hemispheric, 10–15 × 12–15 mm. Phyllaries green, margins sometimes ciliate, apices erect, acute to obtuse, mucronate, faces densely villous. Cypsela faces sericeous.
