Characteristics

An undershrub or shrub up to 1.5 m high. Young stems shortly appressed-or spreading-tomentose, whitish. Leaves unifoliolate; petiole 1-4 mm long, pubescent; leaflet up to 5.5 x 1.3 cm, ovate to oblong, ± cuneate at the base, rounded at the apex, both surfaces about equally densely whitish or greyish appressed-pubescent to sublanate. Calyx 4-5 mm long, whitish appressed-pubescent to tomentose. Petals purple; standard 6-8 mm long; wing petals 6-7 mm long; keel petals 5-6 mm long. Pod c. 10 x 4 mm, appressed-or spreading-tomentose or villous, whitish.
