Leaves unifoliolate; petiole 1–4 mm long, pubescent; leaflet up to 5.5 × 1.3 cm, ovate to oblong, ± cuneate at the base, rounded at the apex, both surfaces about equally densely whitish or greyish appressed-pubescent to sublanate.
Petals purple; standard 6–8 mm long; wing petals 6–7 mm long; keel petals 5–6 mm long.
Pod c.10 × 4 mm, appressed-or spreading-tomentose or villous, whitish.
Young stems shortly appressed-or spreading-tomentose, whitish.
Calyx 4–5 mm long, whitish appressed-pubescent to tomentose.
An undershrub or shrub up to 1.5 m high.
