Sparsely branched, epiphytic orchid. Roots relatively wide, flat, roughened/warty. Leaves stiff, thin-textured but leathery, parchment-like. Racemes pendulous, multiflowered. Flowers resupinate, spidery, widely opening, short-lived, opening in spasms. Sepals and petals free, of similar size and shape, apices drawn-out and filiform. Labellum hinged to apex of column foot. Labellum lamina 3-lobed; lateral lobes erect, incurved and overlapping; midlobe vestigial; spur hollow. Column short with well-developed basal foot. Pollinia 4 in 2 appressed pairs, hard, waxy, orange, attached via short, broad stipe to broad viscidium.
