Characteristics

Perennial, procumbent herb, stems up to 0.2 m long; plants densely hairy with white, bulbous-based hairs. Leaves: blades ovate, base abruptly attenuate, apex acuminate, venation bowed, 3 secondary veins on each side of midrib arched, reaching to apex; leaf bases and lower parts of blade ± glabrous. Stipular sheath up to 4 mm long, with 5-7 fimbriae. Inflorescences up to 10 mm in diam., margins of all parts densely hairy as mentioned above; bracts ovate, acuminate at apex, obtuse at base. Calyx: lobes triangular. Corolla yellow-green. Flowering time Dec.-Apr.
