Characteristics

Leaves bifoliolate; leaflets obovate or subrotund, 15-30 x 12-19 mm, base cuneate or obtuse, apex rounded; petioles 2-3 mm long. Stipules widely triangular. Flowers 2 together. Sepals 4, obovate or ovate. Petals 4, obovate or elliptic, 13-19 x 5-9 mm, base with a short claw, apex rounded; pale yellow with red or brown markings at base. Flowering time May-Oct. Fruit drooping, roundish, 26-40 x 26-40 mm, 4-winged, wings 10-15 mm wide, with a deep sinus at apex and base.
